Start of Spring: Birth of the New

Updated:2026-02-04 浏览次数:

At 04:01 today.

The Start of Spring arrives.

The cycle of twenty-four terms.

Begins anew.

A spring brimming with hope.

Makes its way toward us.

Green shoots break the soil.

Branches swell with promise.

Color spills like overturned paint,

Washing away the winter pale.

Wild ducks frolic in the warming water.

First to sense the breath of spring.

A surge of hope, reclaiming the gray.

With the thaw, the plows emerge,

Waking the fields, row by row.

The year’s design is drawn in spring;

For only the seed cast deep today

Can promise the golden weight of autumn.

A labor of growth, sowing the future.

With the advent of the Start of Spring.

A fresh spirit awakens in all things.

Start of Spring.

Days of soft wind and warming sun,

Of singing birds and fragrant blooms,

Wait just beyond the veil.

The breath of spring

Lies hidden in the softening air,

Cradled in boughs that dream of green.

The East Wind brushes soft.

Bearing the warmth long awaited.

All creation

Shakes off the winter sleep.

Insects rouse.

Fish ascend.

Shouldering the ice.

The world, brimming with life,

Moves to a warm rhythm.

Woods sprout new.

Buds grow tight.

Every hint, poised to burst,

Ignites the winter eye.
