Our Department

We are an established foreign teacher recruiting department based in Nanjing (Jiangsu Province, China). Our department was established in 2002 and is part of a huge educational organization called JESIE (Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange), which was founded in 1987. JESIE is a not-for-profit educational organization operating under the direct leadership of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education (JPDE) in East China. We have an experienced multicultural academic staff and Chinese staff with international backgrounds. 

Our department recruits foreign teachers who teach an oral component of the Chinese syllabus in public schools, focusing on conversational English. They usually teach grades 1 to 12. The classes usually consist of between 40 and 60 students with vastly different levels of English. Classes are 40 to 45 minutes long depending on the school and time of day. Teachers are provided with a clear text and teaching program that is focused on conversational English.

• Policy consultation: Provide policy-consulting service for Jiangsu schools concerning the recruitment and management of foreign teachers.

• Teacher Training: Recruit foreign experts each summer for the Chinese English Teachers Training Program for the Teachers Training Division of JPDE (Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education)
