Foreign teachers to introduce English website system

JESIE Open Days

Open Days are special non-profit ESL events that JESIE provides to program schools, or as charitable events to less privileged schools. Each month revolves around a chosen theme, like "Food Glorious Food" "Comics and Movies" "Around the World" and western holidays.

All teachers are expected to participate in Open Days throughout each school term. Teachers should create a lesson plan and activities to show why English is fun, and are expected to show goodwill and flexibility in emergency situations (for example, a possible emergency scenario may include a teacher who unexpectedly got sick).

From the year of 2017, JESIE starts to offer a diverse selection of professional development workshops to Chinese English teachers working in public schools, all lead by experienced and well-trained foreign teachers. The workshop covers popular topics like scafforlding, lesson planning, teaching skills, games and PowerPoints designing.
