Hi, my name is Christine Canning and I am currently working in two Nanjing primary schools, as part of my JESIE contract.  I can honestly say JESIEs primary school program is great, especially if you are starting out and want the support that comes from working in a team.  

JESIE is a very professional organisation committed to developing teachers and delivering high quality education to all those who participate in JESIE programs.  The level of support provided by JESIE is not commonly found with other employers.  JESIE provides ongoing training and assistance.  You will be given opportunities to develop your teaching skills across different age groups and to meet, share resources and learn from a wide range of teachers.  This is particularly beneficial if you plan on making teaching your career, or perhaps as a stepping stone into other educational career pathways. 

If you join JESIE you can rest easy in knowing that you will get paid on time and that the conditions and benefits detailed in your contract will be fulfilled, pending your successful completion of your contract terms and conditions.   

Another big plus is that the teaching hours that will be asked of you are more than reasonable and you have great flexibility in terms of when you will prepare your lessons.  This is not the case when you work for many other employers.  Many companies have much higher teaching loads and they require you to stay in the office for significant periods of time.  When you work for JESIE you have a lot freedom.  Of course there are deadlines for work, but you can fit much of this work around times that suit you!  I very much appreciate this aspect of the job.   

In closing, I would like to say that I have really enjoyed my time working for JESIE in their primary school program and I can whole heartedly recommend it as a place to work.
